What's the moron building now?

Sounds like a high budget build for a SWEET car.

More pics will follow. Pierce Motorsports is shipping this week, Good-Win Performance is shipping my springs/shocks/camber plates this week as well. Revalved Koni Yellows, Ground Controls, and Cusco camber plates. Corksport Power Series 2.5" exhaust shipped yesterday.

Picking up motar this weekend, a whopping 2.5 litres of it. Order Corbeau FX1 Pro Microsuedes on the 15th, along with Fidanza 9lb flywheel, South Bend TZ stage 2 clutch, HotShot headerS, and a dry cell battery.

So do we have to guess what the car is? Is it an Escort? I see another one next to it. My friend bought one of alex's old escorts, I've been trying to talk him into building it for a long time. I love those things.

Yep, an Escort.

1993 Escort GT w/ 300k miles.

I actually have a pair of Alex's old wheels and his 3-piece wing from the RalleScort...

The factory 1.8 mazda lump is going in the trash, though.

I'll let you know if the current buyer for it backs out. Selling the motor, with a fresher head, trans, and all accessories for $200. (Didn't mean trash literally ) Motor would need the heads swapped, and a new/good secondary IACV. Makes good power and is reliable despite the miles.

KLZE going in it's place, attached to an MX3 GS trans w/ MFactory LSD, POSSIBLY an MFactory 4.68:1 final drive if i want to get crazy.

I bet he would want it for that price. A KLZE would be pretty nice in such a little car.

Here's hoping.... i figure they're good for high 13s w/ bolt ons only in MX3s and open diff, i should be low 13s in this thing, even though it's not going to be a drag car. If i get antsy next winter and throw megasquirt on it, i'll be hunting 12s for fun, but that's looking a bit far ahead.

Have also been kicking around the idea of supercharging it. Have a few things that i could use for that route already.

I could always use the parts MX3 as a hornet car... The drivetrain coming out of the Escort will drop right in!

I doubt the supercharger will come close to it, but I think the TZ series is rated at somewhere between 350-400hp and tq......and the tz series hate boost, I foresee a dxd in your future

Lol Jamie, you're one to talk!!!!

The other cars are "done." The MX6 is in DD duties (though i've been accumulating parts for it as well), the Jeep needs nothing, and the Celica is still performing it's job as lawn art beautifully.

Plan this summer is to finish the Escort in the next month, month and a half. Then get the real turbo and fuel and clutch in on the MX6, then over the winter, FINALLY finish the damn Celica.
