Project: Third Time's the Charm

So after about a month I have decided to pick up another project. It is my hobby and my outlet, I have found no other hobby that keeps my attention like cars do. Do not get me wrong I love spending quality time with my wife and daughter but there are those times when they are napping or out and about and there is nothing for me to do.

With that said...I have obviously decided to build another 240 . It is a platform that is easy to build, parts are fairly cheap, and I obviously now a little bit about them. I plan on building this car a little different than the last 2. I plan on building the car and suspension first and doing the engine last. I still have not made my decision on what engine I am going with for sure yet, but I want to be 550-600 whp this time.

The first car I bought quickly became a donor car due to the fact the more I took apart the more rust I found :x but the car was an SE with great interior, 5 lug hubs and a VLSD

I hate rodents....

So after finding all of the rust I decided to find a car that was rust free and the color that I wanted, so I did some craigslist searches in some southern states and found this clean rolling chassis in KY.

More to come...

The past few days I have been working on switching out the 5 lug and cleaning up the interior:

I bet they took the tank to get it welded and the guy did the wrong side.

Why would you sell a clean 240, to buy a project car 240

Well I have been working on getting the car cleaned and stripped to go to the body shop, so far I have all my body parts needed except the hood which hopefully I will see sometime late next week or so. I did decide to go all new Nissan parts instead of trying to find beat up stuff for about the same price after all the body work is done!
Before:

Stripped and going to the body shop!:

More to come I will keep updating as it progresses...

Personally if I wanted small, nimble, good gas milage and no rust, I would own a Mini. However, I want space, fun to drive, loud as fuck, forced induction, hood scoop, and AWD.
