civic cx hatch build thread

I bought this off of Brandon S. last year with a few problems, it wasn't running right, rust issues, horrible cheap blown suspension, and some other issues.

How I got it

Crappy engine bay shot, I'll get another better one shortly

Info on car
Current work done to it by po's:
-Gsr head with all new seals(needs valve adjustment)
-b18a1 block
-gsr pistons(not sure but puts out higher compression then ls pistons, and not as much as type r)
-new timing belt
-new mls head gasket
-Blox intake manifold
-type r tb
-type r exhaust manifold
-2.5 in exhaust
-chipped p72
-short shifter
-stiff as hell clutch with hydro to cable conversion

Stuff I fixed last year and during the winter
-One solid color
-replaced bad fuel pump with a walboro
-paid for a legit ls v-tech tune that made 170 whp with same(ish) mods and set up
-Cleaned up rats nest of wires in bay a little

Then it sat for the most part until this week.

ok, it's been sitting since it's been so damn cold out, but got some more work done this past week. The car is now running perfectly, but it was all over the road, needs suspension upgrades BAD. So this is what I have done so far with out any extra large sums of cash.

First is rear disc swap with aem big rotor kit, lca's, camber kit, and struts(still would like something better), energy suspension trailing arm bushings, and started to knock out some of the rust to see how bad it is and what I can do to fix it.

old jank drums and shitty coils on stock blown struts

Probably one of the reasons it was all over the place

Having fun getting the old rubber out and still keeping the cylinder intact

New energey suspension bushing in

Cleaning up surface rust on 11" rear rotor

All together, just need wheels that will fit

Keeping it NA for this year as in I am not sure as of my financial issues with school, work, and medical bills out the ass. But I'll keep it updated since it is getting warmer out.

I still have some stuff to install to keep me busy for awhile. Wideband and gauge, egt sensor and gauge, coolant temp sensor and gauge, and body work need done.

Also plans if and when I get my refund(which wont' be as much as I thought) will be upgrading to PIC suspension and some 16" wheels with a +25 offset and wide enough to run a 215 tire. Which are also needed to run the AEM big brakes(12" rotor) up front. Some hawk pads and steel braided brake lines.

I would like to switch to e85 with some steel braided fuel lines, 550cc injectors, and an adjustable fpr. I have the injectors, fpr already, just need the lines

What ever class they put me in. Not sure what the brakes will change, but they are still using stock calipers. They came with the trailing arms. Didn't want to spend more on stock disc.

As long as you keep interior, looks like a Street Modified build so far.
