hmmm where is the damn clutch cable?

ok so my clutch is acting up....it still works but there is WAY to much play in it...if it has 12 inches of travel from unreleased to the floor then i press it down to 10 inches before i feel any pressure... im pretty sure its just a worn cable but i cant seem to find the damn thing....where it be guys? and is it even a cable?

oh by the way the car is a 94 civic lx

Don't take this the wrong way, but if you can't find the clutch cable on your car, I wouldn't recommend working on it yourself. If you do, make sure someone is there with you who can fix it if you fuck it up.

I don't know a damn thing about 94 Civics, I'll wayt for Pat to chime in.

Knowing how Hondars are...I won't even venture a guess. All my GM FWD cars were hydraulic systems and a problem like that usually means it's low on fluid...or has a leak somewhere.

Clutch master cylinder seals are likely bad then.

Oh, and for the record... ALL 92 + cvics I've had(which is alot!) have periodically leaked the fluid out of the clutch resivior. Just carry some fluid in your trunk, fill up when it gets spongey. No problems

Had the leak with my Prelude. Although I am about 99% sure that was not a manufacturer fault... seeing as how it was an auto when I got it and a manual when I sold it. lol. Anywho.. welcome to the 1992 ghost xero
