So yeah...I have this now.

I traded my Sundance for something a bit more reliable and better on gas (it takes 87!)....also a lot less rusty. '97 single slammer... It's got a Mad Dog short throw, under drive pulley, ghetto cold air, solid mounts and a long tube header with no cat and a shit muffler. It's slow as fuck but it's kinda fun. My Sundance was having 23 year old car electrical problems....every week it seemed like something else wasn't working correctly due to wiring....so I traded it.

I plan on a full SRT4 swap...

First it looked like this:

Then I got a better rear bumper and removed the shitty side skirts:

Different wheels:

Sold the body kit and got a front bumper and my Fiero wheels installed:

What it looks like now after I painted the front bumper:

Wait.... You painted the red bumper but left the rusted hood? Does not compute.

Well, lets do the math.

1 can of auto plastic paint + 1 day of halfway decent weather - 1 sander and paper = only bumper gets done.

The rest of the car will be painted when it gets warmer.

The Fiero wheels look good on it, just need to drop the ride height a little. And ignore Bob, he's jealous.

I liked it too...just a pain in the ass. I've been chasing a 4K RPM cutout for 2 years on the car...changed sensors, different computers, different tunes, etc. I recently installed the new lock ring on the fuel pump because the old one was rusted....did that and the pump stopped working (new Walbro 255)...got it fixed..turned out to be a stuck check valve...and 2 days later I go out and I have zero brakes. A rear wheel cylinder was busted.

I replaced both wheel cylinders, brake lines, drums, hardware and shoes. I clamped the brake hose with some vice grips to make it to my friend's garage. On the way over to his garage, the car started running like shit. Turns out the injector harness plug was wonky. Zip tied it together and made it home later after the brake job.

Installed a new injector harness...car developed a pretty decent hesitation on throttle tip-in. Switched the injector harness back, including zip tie and all was good...car sat for a couple days....go out to leave and battery is dead...no click, no noise...dead. Get the battery tested...it's bad. This all happened in less than a month. Plus the car has needed a decent clutch forever...one that would hold over 400 lb/ft....and the floors are rusted through.

I was talking to one of my friends who's big into Neons...I told him I wanted another 1st gen...he said he knew someone who wanted my car and had a rust free 1st gen. This guy REALLY wanted my car, so I traded. Turns out the guy's a white trash doofus that knows nothing...but my buddy is the one who worked on his Neon and I trust him. The doofus that has my old car lives in Shelbyville, so hopefully I'll never see it out driving around.

This guy has texted me, asking if the car would run without the chip for the tune....told me that he thought the open dump would rob power and that it needed a 2" exhaust and other craziness .

Thanks! I knew someone with a set of Gold Line springs...they waned to trade for a set of tires I had but the person is being really flaky about it. I need to get the car lowered a little....it'll look a hundred times better.
