Paypal help...

I am looking for someone (developer) that is familiar with Paypal's API...specifically their Adaptive Payments module. My first choice would be to utilize Server Side but I am not sure my project is big enough for them (yet

) ...I'd love to discuss it with you Steve. I have a business idea that I have been toying with for months and months and I figure its time to shit or get off the pot. I need someone to help me with the dot com part of the business, which by the way is a dot com. I have years and years of small business management, marketing and graphic design but am totally ignorant to building, developing and designing web shit.

I'd rather have a business partner then an invoice from a developer but at this point I will basically take what I can get...I gotta see this venture move forward.

Please let me know if you or somebody you know could help.

I probably should, though..I bought an Apple developer account and I've done nothing with it so far.

Step 1: Don't use paypal, use Google Checkout.

Google checkout wont do what I need....already contacted them. PayPal seems to be the "easiest" solution.

Hit up Joe Fields at CODA Computer Services, Inc - Indianapolis IT Consulting; Managed Services and tell him Jerry Hicks sent you his way. I'm not sure if he does APIs specifically, but I would be VERY surprised if he couldn't at least give you a name and number for someone.

317.456.CODA is the number, and if you go to the site, it looks like you could "chat" with someone (I'm guessing him).

Joe wanted me to tell you hello....he isn't sure if he can help or not and will get back to me after asking his staff of their knowledge. I'm shocked how hard it is for me to find someone well versed in PayPal's API. I don't trust an online "developer"...I need to meet them, shake their hands etc for me to feel comfortable disclosing my idea. With someone local I feel much more comfortable discussing the particulars. Plus I'm trying to find more of a partner then just a subcontractor but that may not be possible.

Update: Talked to Joe...the guy Jerry recommended...he has a developer who is interested but has no experience in working with PayPal's API. Interesting enough the developer he has been talking to has worked with ServerSide on their site....small world.

Right on! I hope that you guys can get everything sorted out. you mentioned that what you want to do is not something you want to share with just anyone so I hope you guys can have a trusting business relationship and make lots of $$

Oddly since I mentioned a Non-Disclosure Agreement, i haven't heard anymore from Mr Fields. Guess me protecting the intellectual property of my idea scared him off. So it looks like I'm gonna be still looking for a developer. Anyone?
