Helmet Painting (yes, SFW)

So I figured since I have painted darn near everything, I would take a shot at my new white helmet. It's an Impact 1320 that I got back in October (SA rated), and I have a blue iridium shield on order.
Only thing I have left to do is clear, polish and put it back together..... this is how it sits now.

Some pics:

I used acrylic enamel (duplicolor you can get at Pep Boys) for the flag, black paint pen for the black accents, and finger paints for the kids handprints, their names, the splatter and the eagle on the back.

I made a stencil for the stars in the front, and cut all of them by hand (25 stars). Freehand for the stripes on the flag.
Had the kids put their own handprints on there, and I helped with the placement of their names.
The eagle is a stencil I grabbed off the interweb, cut out, and used fingerpaint on. Put a little red on him to accent a bit.
The splatter idea I got from my oldest, as she flung paint all over the kitchen when we were doing their handprints. I wiped any we got onto the flag part to keep it clean looking.

Materials - About $40 (paint, tape, fingerpaints, paint pen)
Time - About a week.
Fun experience, and would do it again.

Wait, so you're wearing patriotic colors while driving the Japanese flagship? Isn't that sacrilegious or something?

Looks good though.

"It’s terrible. Biblically terrible. Possibly the worst new car money can buy. It’s the first car I’ve ever considered crashing into a tree, on purpose, so I didn’t have to drive it any more. "
- Jeremy Clarkson describing what the Honda Insight is like as a car.

If the US Government was a family, they would be making $58,000 a year, they spend $75,000 a year, & are $327,000 in credit card debt. They are currently proposing BIG spending cuts to reduce their spending to $72,000 a year. These are the actual proportions of the federal budget & debt, reduced to a level that we can understand.
